Dear Friends,

Welcome to Day 3 of our new year journey. Today we turn toward one of the most stretching parts of renewal—waiting on God when His timing doesn’t match ours.

Waiting is rarely easy.
It touches the most vulnerable places in us…
the places where we long for answers, relief, clarity, or direction.
And yet, Scripture tells us that those who wait on the Lord are blessed—not because waiting feels good, but because God is always at work in ways we cannot yet see.

Shelly Esser’s story today is tender and familiar: a moment when fear and pressure nearly pushed her ahead of God, only to discover later that His delays were actually His protection and provision—for the new things He wanted to do in her life.

How often we find ourselves there—wanting to fix, solve, or move, when God is asking us to trust Him instead.

As you read her words, may your own waiting places feel a little less heavy. God is not withholding. He is preparing.

And He is preparing you.

Encouraging you in God’s truth,
Your JBU Sisters in Christ ❤️
